video: exploration to culmination

I dedicated a 7 hour day to searching my local shores for my first speckled trout.

It took all 7 hours, but my efforts were rewarded.

It's funny, the fish seem so much bigger in my memory. Maybe it would be better to leave the camera at home. The video keeps my stories too honest.

It's been pretty cool to follow along as you've made your journey from intimidated freshwater fisherman to saltwater angler. Told ya it was fun!

  3. e - smallish ?!? ha. I really remembered it bigger. Adrenaline plus memory must be a magnifying glass. Thanks for the compliment.

JM - I tell you, I'm learning quite a bit. I'm sure I'll be a green horn for a couple more years, but I do feel that I'm getting a sense of this coastal fishing madness. You are right. it is fun :)

  4. Really nice video! Glad you were rewarded on your search. Although the fish looked pretty good to me, I am curious to see your mental image of the beast...

  5. thanks, sanders. You know, the funny thing is, I went out this weekend and caught a fish twice the size. it put it all in perspective. But yes, I wish I could show you the memory.
