Unseasonably Warm Winter (ie. Spring) Cleaning

I spent the last week reorganizing the garage and tying bench. A local hardware store was selling some old nut and bolt boxes/drawers. 4 for $20. I made the purchase in the hopes that I would begin to organize my tying materials. It is a work in progress, but I think it is a major step in the right direction. The repositioning of the tying bench also allowed me to add a light that will give me much better lighting than I had before.

The new, organized, yet still messy, tying bench.

So Pretty. Same old bucket seat.

So organized.

Fish food.

Lastly, you may notice a change in the header. I wanted to come up with an original and catchy logo. I started with the "MLW" thing last fall. While brainstorming over the winter, my wife helped me come up with a new design. We spent lots of time refining it, and it is finally ready. I am pleased to introduce to you, The Leaky Man :)

"Hello, I'm the Leaky Man."

    1. Thanks Sanders. I have to say, I've been admiring the simplicity of your logo/header for some time. It definitely played an inspirational role.

The drawers are a bit big, but they work great for now.

  2. Cool new design. I wish I had my own tying area. I have to take over our dining room table. My wife hates it.

    1. Kevin,
I did the same thing until we got a garage, then I set up the makeshift bench. It can be cold, but it is nice not to have to worry about being messy.

Very unique, I really like the new look for the blog header. I only wish I could motivate myself to at least get starting tying for myself. Great job!!

    1. Thanks Bill! Tying is one of those things you either enjoy or not. It isn't always practical and it definitely is not cheap, but it can be fun :)

  4. I dig the new Leaky Man logo. I think they make some padded seat 5 gal bucket lids you could add to your tying chair to make it more comfy.

  6. I am loving the new Leaky Man. I was thinking about getting some Zubaz for the upcoming softball season. Nothing like looking like a fool in public.
