Weekend photos: July 29, 30, 31

I'm brightening the background up a bit today. I feel this is a happier color.
Friday night: Living the dream with Dominion Oak Barrel Stout. This beer has a crisp flavor compared to other stouts I've mentioned here. The vanilla bean flavor is a unique twist.

A squirrel and deer tail sent to me from my Grandpa in Minnesota. He keeps his keen eyes out for roadkill. Thanks, Grandpa!

Saturday we took my parent's to see downtown Norfolk and the USS Wisconsin.

Sara and I eating dinner at Rudee's on the Inlet. Not too shabby.

With a step to Neptune's left the photo made him look much more angry than the contemplative shot on the left. Go easy on the  turtle Poseidon, what did he ever do to you?

  1. He is so funny and crafty. I'm not sure exactly how it happened, but I think he carries either a knife or clippers in his car and, upon seeing the roadkill, gets out to snip the tail. He is pretty active for 91 :)

  2. Next time you're at VA Beach , stop by Baja Cantina on 23rd street and try a fish taco. They had a nice selection of beer last time I was in there about 3 years ago.

  3. I will absolutely do that! I'm also starting to think I might purchase some surf fishing equipment. I'm watching out on craigslist for a good deal.

  4. Good call on the Oak Barrel Stout,I took some Victory Storm King with me on our trip to Portsmouth Island last week, and since you mentioned surf fishing gear, there were lots of blues running and several gulf king fish, but the weather was BRUTAL for tent camping.
