Out on the Water

Another day out.

Not a fish to be found.

An osprey's cry.

Smoke in the air.

No take. No blitz.

A crash. A skunk.

Cool wind.  Warm Sun.
 Break for sodas.

Stretch the sore fingers.

It feels good to be sore

from casting at fish.....
Even if none were found.

It feels good to be in the Sun.

Even if it burns later on.

It is good to have another day out.

  2. Anytime you can get out is a good time. Sorry the fish didn't come out to play. I've had similar "success" lately.

  3. Thanks, Sanders.

Jay - I'm attributing it to the dog days of august. Also, any time I get skunked, I'm calling it "research." I'm just studying the spots until the fish get back :) That's what you are doing to, right?

  4. If I ever write that book, I'd want one of your poems in the front of it. ( hey, something's gotta be in there that's worth buying! :) )

I hope you don't mind, I've cross-posted this on OJDC, with credit to you, of course. I think it's brilliant.
